Salary £41,500 plus discretionary bonus and benefits
The Abbey Centre is a community centre and social enterprise in the heart of south Westminster providing a wide range of opportunities and activities for local residents, enhancing their wellbeing and improving quality of life in the area.
The Trustees are looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Chief Executive to manage the Centre on a day to day basis, whilst delivering the longer term strategic objectives. The Chief Executive is responsible for overseeing the Centre’s community programme, as well as ensuring income targets, achieved through grants, commissioned work and social enterprise activities are delivered.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and have significant management experience in a similar sized and diverse organisation, as well as demonstrating a successful track record of generating income from a variety of sources.

Volunteer
Our volunteers are vital for The Abbey Centre's success. They also find the experience tremendously rewarding. Give some of your time to a good cause whilst gaining new skills and meeting new people. Volunteering is for all ages (17+) and abilities whether you're a student, working or retired. There are a number of volunteering opportunities depending on your interests, for example:
- Admin support
- Befriending and supporting older people
- Helping with community centre activities, outings and events
- Painting and decorating
- Project management and fundraising
- Youth projects
