Chair-based exercises are specifically designed to help older people keep active and maintain independence. The exercises allow older people to exercise without putting undue stress or pressure on their bodies.

 

The exercises help to keep the participants flexible, strengthening muscles, lubricating joints and increasing blood circulation. This can then reduce the risk of falls and help them to accomplish day to day activities more easily.
