How You Can Help

As an independent organisation, donations and community support are so crucial to the day-to-day running of the Abbey Centre. Without this support we would be unable to provide the subsidised services, activities and community projects that we currently do.

There are a number of ways that you can support us and our community;

Volunteer your Time

If you are interested in lending your time, knowledge and talents, we would be happy to arrange a volunteering placement. There are endless ways you can get involved. There are many benefits for all - whether you are an individual, business or school.

Volunteering allows people to....

  • demonstrate their commitment to the local community;
  • increase job satisfaction and pride in giving back to society;
  • break down barriers in society and foster inter-generational opportunities;
  • have fun and can offer a welcome break or opportunity to give something back;
  • take on different roles ranging from admin support, mentoring, fundraising and marketing opportunities.

Company involvement

We are a well-established local charity with a good reputation amongst local businesses, voluntary and government sectors. We have a long track record in working with a variety of local organisations from American Express and The John Lewis Partnership to The Home Office and other Government departments and local schools. We can help you deliver your Corporate Social Responsibility objectives; whether through sponsorship of an event or providing direct financial support.

Make a donation

Please contact us at the Abbey Centre if you would like to make a regular donation. Alternatively if you would prefer to make a one off donation, please make a cheque payable to Abbey Community Association Ltd, and post it to: The Abbey Centre, 34 Great Smith Street, London, SW1P 3BU.
