A vibrant community and conference centre in Westminster
The Abbey Community Association Limited was established in 1948 to support the communities of south Westminster.
Working in partnership with local organisations that share our ethics, values and passion for social justice, we improve the heath and wellbeing of vulnerable residents by promoting togetherness and helping those in need.
Located in the heart of historic Westminster, the charity has been based in the Abbey Centre since 1991. Since the move, it has always been a vibrant community hub buzzing with a diverse range of activities and services that support the local people.
The centre was converted from a Victorian swimming bath to a social enterprise. Providing conference and meeting rooms for local groups, the in-house cafe and catering service generate funds to support the Abbey Centre’s work.
As a unique provider of comprehensive community services, it is vitally important that the Abbey Centre continues to serve the local area as there is no comparable organisation nearby.
