Attending our activities during Covid-19 restrictions
The Abbey Centre will be open while lockdown restrictions allow, with several safety measures that service users will have to follow, including maintaining social distancing:
- The maximum numbers per each activity will be 16 people plus tutor and one staff member
- Everyone to follow the “Test and Trace” guidelines that have been laid out by the government if they experience any symptoms of COVID-19
- Everyone must book his/her place to attend any activities at the Centre beforehand
How to register for activities at the Abbey Centre
Places on activities will need to be booked via a telephone call to 020 7222 0303, and must be booked by 3:00pm on the Friday the week before.
This booking will be followed up by a telephone call on the morning of your activity, to talk about how you will be travelling to the centre, and check any requirements you may have when visiting the centre. We will also be confirming your space for that week’s activity. Please note that you will not be able to block book activities. This is to give everyone the opportunity to join us for our activities.
We are unable to take cash payments for activities, these must be done through BACS or contactless payment at reception.
Visiting the Abbey Centre
When you arrive at the Centre, you will be asked to sign in to the building in line with Test and Trace. You will need to wear masks where possible in the building, especially the public areas of the building. You will then be asked to sanitize your hands before you enter. Once in the building, people will be around to direct you to your activity. You might be asked to enter through the rear of the building, depending where your activity is taking place.
Those attending exercise classes, we recommend bringing your own yoga mats/blocks and change before coming to the session.
