Coronavirus (Covid-19) updates

Latest update

The Abbey Centre is open for you to visit our cafe, join our activities or book a meeting room.

It’s important to remember that Covid has not gone away, and it’s still important for everyone to follow basic safety measures to help protect those who are vulnerable or unvaccinated, and ensure that everyone feels safe and welcome at our community and conference centre.

Please:

  • consider choosing to limit the contact you have with those you do not usually live with and increasing close contact gradually
  • meet outdoors where possible and let fresh air into homes or other enclosed spaces
  • continue to get regular testing and self-isolate, if required
  • get vaccinated
  • use the NHS COVID-19 app
  • wash your hands regularly

The requirement to wear face coverings in law has been lifted. However, it is expected and recommended that people wear face coverings in crowded areas, such as public transport.

You can read the full guidance on the government’s website.
