The Abbey Community Association Limited (ACAL) supports communities to improve their quality of life by promoting health, wellbeing and community cohesion.

ACAL manages the Abbey Centre as the main community hub in south Westminster, offering a broad range of community services and activities for all ages and backgrounds. These include physical activity, language classes, advice and information, employment support, homeless welfare services and a comprehensive volunteering programme.

Our activities and services improve confidence, skills, health and wellbeing, quality of life, community cohesion, and reduce social isolation for local residents.

We support over 3000 service users reflecting the diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds of people living in south Westminster. We also work with local organisations to facilitate joint working, better communication and improved services.

We have a proven track record of delivering highly effective and much-needed services which achieve transformative positive change for both the individuals and the local community as the whole. Our services were subject to an independent Social Return on Investment review which found that for every £1 invested by funders, ACAL generated £9 of social value.
