Job opportunity: Employment Support Officer

21 hours per week (3 days)
Salary: £26,000 per annum, pro-rata
Three-year fixed term contract.

The Abbey Community Association is a charity operating out of a large community centre and hub in the heart of south Westminster, bringing together local people and organisations to address local community needs.

We are currently recruiting for a part-time Employment Support Officer, as part of our Women Off to Work (WOW) programme, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund. This is a holistic training and “into-work” programme for women in south Westminster and neighbouring areas, particularly those of Muslim and Arabic-speaking backgrounds. It includes life and vocational skills training, wellbeing and general employability support through work experience placements, internships, job brokerage, and practical advice on employment and self-employment.

The successful candidate will provide tailored support to women to help them into work or self-employment, including developing plans, CV writing, mock interviews, and advice on becoming self-employed.
